About Rest for the Weary

I hope you will find this little spot a place of rest and refreshment for your soul. My intention is to build up women in the trenches of homeschooling. This includes veterans who are burned out and former homeschooling moms who have decided for one reason or another to put some or all of their children in school. Thanks for stopping by. Take a deep breath of refreshment for your weary soul.

What do you need burned out homeschool moms and former homeschool moms?

I know it has been a while.  A long while, actually.  Sorry about that.  Life has been crazy, as usual, and writing always ends up being the neglected dog left in the yard.  All of my children are in school this year--2 in private school, one in public school, and one technically is homeschooling but is taking all of her classes as dual credit so I don't teach anything.
I have a heart, a passion for helping moms, especially homeschool moms who are burned out (along with burned out stay-at-home moms) and moms who are thinking about school for their children after they have homeschooled for a period of time as well as those former homeschool moms.  I need to spend time doing this so I have put it on my list of goals for the year.  I hope to get my website up again (on the new site again) and get the word out.  I would like to see what moms are looking for--what they need.  So please leave me some feedback in the comments.  Do you need regular blog posts for encouragement and ideas?  Other social media opportunities to interact like facebook, instagram, google+?  Would you like to see books you can purchase, online classes, retreats, podcasts, and/or consulting?  Please share.

  1. Is this blog still active?!? I just came across this and am in the process of figure out how to put my children in school. They've never attended a school before and this is a HUGE decision and process that has left me in tears many times. Transitioning from homeschool to public or private is so hard.
